If I was to choose between 60% accuracy and being faster than the opponent vs slower at 95% accuracy, I would choose 60% and faster. OR that is at least better than being slower at 95% accuracy. In an aim duel (lets take example of each player only has 1 shot and 1 shot to kill) the goal is to be faster than your enemy, while still having a decent accuracy. If it were, things would look (sound :p) quite different. The goal is not to play the song as fast as possible with leanient accuracy. When learning a song you have an end goal, to play the song "perfectly". However, there is a big difference between competing and learning an instrument. I see where you are coming from, and the popular consensus is to focus on "perfect" accuracy. That'll be where you are able to most easily see the differences. What I would say would be good in this case is to record some training in Aim Lab and then compare that to a recorded round of playing Apex, look at what you are doing in one that you aren't doing in the other, and vice versa. There are no pauses or breaks, and the relative strain on your aim can be hundreds of times higher than ingame. In Aim Lab, in a task like Sixshot, the average player will kill ~85 targets in a 1 minute round, and top level players can kill 150-180. There's a lot of time per kill generally speaking, and in each fight you have time to think about your approach and use things like positioning to your advantage. In Apex, for example - An extremely skilled player may get between 8 and 15 kills in a 15-20 minute game. In Aim Lab however, there is never any downtime, and you are aiming 100% of the time, at maximum capacity. Ingame, for example, you have the oppertunitty to hold your shot for a little longer while you line it up to be more accurate, there's downtime and you have time to consider elements outside of just clicking the enemy. Most tasks in Aim Lab will focus on your raw, isolated aim - Whereas ingame, there are a few more factors at play. (For reference my gridshot score is on average 54000, 84 accuracy, and 303 time to kill, and my reactivetrack score was 86,000 with 66 accuracy and 300 average time on) It feels as if it is some sort of mental issue but I cannot pinpoint what it is.

Yes, I have replicated my FOV, resolution, and sensitivity so its not a problem with my settings. I suck at precision based modes, my tracking (which I am much better at than flicking) is also terrible, and I just suck in general.

When I'm playing FPS games my aim feels precise and consistent but in Aimlab it's the opposite. Coming from being Pred 6 seasons in a row in Apex and GM in Overwatch, it feels like my scores in Aimlab are lower than they should be. Problem is, my scores in Aimlab are mediocre at best. Recently I feel I've hit a ceiling in my aim so I decided to start training in Aimlab. I have never really used aim trainers to improve my aim, but rather just playing FPS games. If you’re playing default right now, there’s basically no reason not to learn defaulternate it’ll be very easy to transition, you might even start playing better immediately.I am in desperate need of help.

If you have an elite series two controller, go into the left joystick settings, but left stick on instant and crank the sensitivity all the way up there as well.Īs for what scheme, the easiest thing to do is play defaulternate so I recommend that. The second dead zone controls your left stick, you basically always want this to be as sensitive as possible, helps you angle bounce faster and change directions while moving faster. The second dead zone I don’t believe is debatable, it’s 0 or you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. You sacrifice a bit of speed for way more stability.

10 is if you want to more stability, and the way you play gow is primarily aiming with your characters body position instead of aiming by panning/sweeping, so I’m on team 10. 0/1 if you want to turn faster, helps camera bouncing etc. The top dead zone is subjective, people either want 0/1 or 10. This got necro’d but you want 30-30-whatever, 10 aim accel.
